Gunther Scheelje - Licensed Massage Therapist

Gunther lives in Bayside, and began working with Dr. Koppel in July. He has Bachelor’s of the Arts, Applied Occupational Sciences and Associate Arts degrees. His grandmother was his inspiration to get into massage therapy. The care she received from massage, chiropractic and acupuncture has her walking still to this day – 12 years later! She suffered from osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, and today she is a 91 year old healthy woman. He is going for his certification in nutritional response testing.

John Nelson - Licensed Massage Therapist

John lives in New York City, and has been in the profession of massage therapist for the last 12 years. He graduated from the University of Iowa – Swedish Institute. He enjoys his job as he likes to help patients return to or maintain a healthy active, lifestyle. He is married to his lovely wife Alison and has three beautiful daughters, Brooke, Cali, and Peyton. In addition to massage he is also trained in active isolated stretching.

Meredith Riordan - Licensed Massage Therapist

Meredith lives in Malverne, and has been a massage therapist for the past 6 years; 1 and half of those with Dr. Koppel. She earned an Applied Occupational Science degree from NY College of Health Professions. Her passion for what she does comes from the drive to help people find peace and balance in their lives and to help them reduce their pain and move toward a life without medication and without pain. She loves spending time with her family: she has been married 6 years with a 4 ½ year old son, a 13 year old step-daughter and an English Mastiff, Maggie. She also finds time to enjoy theatre, gardening, crocheting, hiking and reading.

Susan Seto - Nutritionist

Susan is a practicing Health and Wellness Coach who leads workshops and offers individual as well group health and nutrition counseling.  She received a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of California at Berkeley, training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and is a Certified FirstLine Therapy Educator. Her area of specialty is helping individuals with autoimmune illnesses, such as rheumatoid arthritis, manage such diseases and live the life they desire.  Her passion is to help people live their lives in optimum health.  She is married to Shek Seto and they have two beautiful daughters, Kayla and Madeline. 

Haleh Roofeh - Office Manager

Haleh lives in Manhasset with her husband and 3 children. She graduated from UCLA and has a degree as a medical assistant. She loves the medical field and the feeling of helping patients. She was also born into the field, with many family members as doctors. Outside of the office, she enjoys biking, reading, and going to games with her kids.

Patrick Wallace - Physical Therapist

Patrick lives in Williston Park with his lovely wife of three years, Katherine, and their two wonderful children, Thomas and Theresa. He has a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy, has been practicing for four years, and is a new member to our Energy Health Group family as of November. He joined the medical field since he has a genuine interest and desire in making people feel better. Physical therapy has provided an avenue to provide the care necessary to heal. Outside of the office, he enjoys ancient history, human movement and spending time with his family.
